Making History in Mexico: Establishing the first Life, Death & Transition Doulas team in Mexico
EKR Making history!
With much joy and thanks to our EKR Mexico Centro education team and our students and followers, we have established the first Life, Death & Transition Doulas volunteer team in Mexico.
Loss, grief, aging and dying are human events, not medical events; they are not problems but natural conditions of human experience. For millions of years, humans have survived losses and died naturally. Medicine is our ally to maximize our quality of life until the last moment, when it is required.
As Doulas of Life, Death &Transition, we are responsible for cultivating, providing and defending the human approach, considering all aspects of being—physical, mental, emotional/social, and spiritual—in caring for the grieving, the sick, the dying, and their loved ones.
